One Bowl Brownies Recipes

Game day is near!  Super Bowl Sunday is approaching.  George, my husband, wants a game-day recipe.  Naturally, brownies spring to mind.

–  10 tablespoons (141 g) unsalted butter – 4 oz (113 g) bittersweet chocolate, chopped – 1 cup (150 g) coconut sugar – 2 large (100 g) egg – 1 teaspoon (4 g) pure vanilla extract – 2/3 cup (120 g) all-purpose flour – 1/4 cup (25 g) unsweetened cocoa powder – 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 g) salt

No football viewing is complete without a brownie.  So here are my one-bowl brownies.  They're easy to make with basic ingredients and no mixer!  Is that easy?

1

It's true that homemade brownies are superior than boxed ones!  The chocolate taste is unmatched.  Bittersweet chocolate (stronger than semisweet) is used in this recipe.

2

you can use instead) and unsweetened cocoa powder.  As a last step before pouring your brownie mixture into your baking sheet, add a cup of chocolate chips or nuts for texture.

3

Neither baking soda nor baking powder are used in this recipe.  Add these ingredients to brownie mix for a cakeier brownie.  I omitted leavening agents to make these one-bowl brownies fudgy.

4

It might be difficult to tell when brownies are done.  Set your timer for 23 minutes (then inspect your brownies when the kitchen smells like chocolate!).

5

Pull a toothpick from the brownies' center to find moist crumbs.  If the toothpick comes out wet, brownies need extra time.

6

An uncontaminated toothpick implies overbaked brownies.  Underbaking brownies is usually better than overbaking them. Double the recipe and bake the brownies in a 9-inch by 13-inch pan for 35–40 minutes to serve more people.
