Easy Cinnamon Sugar Donut Muffins Recipe

Soft, homemade cinnamon sugar donut muffins taste like your favorite donut. Cinnamon and sugar-rolled muffins are easy to make! Perfect breakfast or dessert with coffee! Also dairy-free!

Ingredient

For the muffins: – 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour – 1 ½ tsp baking powder – ½ teaspoon sea salt – ½ teaspoon cinnamon – ½ teaspoon ginger – 1 large egg – ¾ cup granulated sugar – ⅓ cup vegetable oil – ¾ cup buttermilk – For the Coating: – 4 Tablespoons melted butter – ¾ cup granulated sugar – 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350°F. Line 12 muffin cups or spray with nonstick cooking spray or oil.

Mix the baking soda, salt, spices, and flour together.

Add the egg and sugar to a different bowl and mix them together. The oil should then be added while whisking. Add the buttermilk and stir.

Add the wet stuff to the dry stuff. Combine well. Put the batter into the muffin tin.

Melt the butter (or margarine) and mix it with the sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.

Bake 20–22 minutes until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Remove pans to wire racks after 5 minutes of cooling.

Dip the muffins in melted butter and roll them in cinnamon sugar while hot. Cool on a rack or eat now and enjoy!
