Enjoy the foods of local vendors in a casual pop-up environment
They say variety is the spice of life, and we agree. The Business of Food wants you to taste and enjoy foods not always available in our area. Some of our food vendors usually ply their trade during the warm months from their food trucks, but you may have missed them. Or they may prepare and serve their food at private events, so you may not have had a chance to taste their wares unless you were invited.
Since it would be a shame for you to miss out on their delicious menu items, we are opening our Mill River Cookery up to the public to share the great food these vendors offer. You will be able to pre-order your food or order it on arrival and either pick up your food to go, or dine in. We anticipate having multiple vendors each weekend.
Pick-up and dining-in times will typically be on weekends, though we are likely to host dining hours for special occasions should vendors choose that as an additional option.
Typical weekend mealtimes will be:
- Friday Dinner
- Saturday Breakfast
- Saturday Lunch
- Saturday Dinner
- Sunday Brunch.
Each week, we will post on our social media which vendors will prepare delicious items in the Eatery for the coming weekend, and the times they will be serving. All you have to do is visit their website or Facebook page (links will be clearly noted) to view their menu. If the vendor offers an option to pre-order, you may place your order and when you want to pick it up or dine in. We will also include a new section in our newsletter to alert you to food vendors who will be at the Eatery in the coming month.
In keeping with our over-arching goal of enjoying locally grown and locally prepared foods, we continue to build our food community showcasing local purveyors. Please join us at the Mill River Eatery, starting in January 2023.
