Baked Mozzarella Sticks Recipe

Baked mozzarella sticks are less fat and calorie-laden than fried ones. These are great kids' snacks and appetizers.
INGREDIENTS
SERVINGS: 24 MOZZARELLA STICKS
– 12 part skim mozzarella stick
– 2 egg whites*
– 2-3 tbsp flour
– 1/4 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumb
– 1/4 cup panko bread crumb
– 1 tbsp parmesan cheese
– 1 tbsp dried parsley
– **Optional - Marinara sauce for dipping

INSTRUCTIONS
Cut all cheese sticks in half and freeze for 20–25 minutes to harden. Avoid skipping
this step to prevent cheese from melting everywhere!

Meanwhile, heat the oven to 400 degree. Arrange parchment paper or silipat mat on a baking sheet.

Spoon 2-3 tablespoons flour into a small bowl. Whisk egg whites lightly in another bowl.

Mix the breadcrumbs, panko, parmesan, and dried parsley in another bowl until combined.

Step 4
Take frozen cheese sticks out. First, flour each cheese stick and shake off excess. Replicate with egg white and breadcrumb mixtures.

Spray the baking sheet with oil and place all the cheese sticks. Take the cheese sticks out of the oven, flip them, and bake for another 4-5 minutes.
