Homemade Croutons Recipe

The finest salad topping is homemade croutons! Use the right breads, season them, and make them crispy.

Ingredient

-4 cups cubed good bread such as sourdough, focaccia, or a baguette (see notes) -4 tablespoons olive oil -½ teaspoon fine sea salt -½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper -½ teaspoon garlic powder -½ teaspoon onion powder *Other optional spices: -Chili powder -Smoked paprika -Cumin -Dried Italian herbs -Parmesan cheese

INSTRUCTION

Warm the oven up to 300°F.Put the bread in a big bowl. Mix the spices and olive oil together, then toss the bread to cover it well.

Place the bread on a baking sheet with a lip around the edge. Toss them every 5 minutes while baking for 10 to 20 minutes
