These kid-friendly monkey bread muffins are delicious and easy to make. These muffins are great year-round and make a great Christmas morning breakfast!
INGREDIENTS
SERVINGS: 12 MUFFINS– 1 (16.3 oz.) can homestyle buttermilk biscuits (I used Pillsbury)– 3 tablespoons melted butter– 1 cup (200 grams) light or dark brown sugar– 1.5 - 2 teaspoons cinnamonGLAZE:– 1/2 cup (60 grams) confectioner's sugar– 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract– 1 tablespoon (15 ml) milk

INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Spray each 12-count muffin pan cavity with cooking spray and set aside.

Step 1
Brown sugar and cinnamon should be well mixed in a small bowl.

Open the buttermilk biscuit can and cut each biscuit in half, then thirds. Each biscuit should yield 6 equal pieces. Make biscuit dough balls from each piece.

Shake off excess butter and dip dough pieces in melted butter. Give each dough piece generous brown sugar and cinnamon.

More brown sugar and cinnamon may be needed.Use four sugar-covered dough pieces per muffin cup. Evenly sprinkle remaining brown sugar and cinnamon on each.

Remove from oven after 15–17 minutes. Remove from pan after 5 minutes. Mix sugar, vanilla, and milk while muffins cool. Glaze muffins evenly. Serve and enjoy!
