A simple recipe for chocolate fudge with pecans and caramel in the middle. This Turtle Fudge is a hit with everyone.
INGREDIENTS
SERVINGS: 16 PIECES– 3 cups semisweet chocolate chip– 1 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk– 2 tablespoons butter– 1 cup chopped pecan– 30 soft caramel candies unwrapped– 3 tablespoons heavy cream
INSTRUCTIONS
Cover an 8x8 baking pan with aluminum foil, leaving an overhang for removal. To prevent caramel from sticking, lightly grease the foil pan sides and set aside.

In a large saucepan, mix chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter. Whisk the mixture on medium heat until smooth. Add chopped pecans and stir. Set aside.

Put caramels and heavy cream in a microwave-safe bowl. Mix well after each 20-30 second microwave increment until melted and smooth.

Pour half the fudge into the pan and smooth. Cover the fudge with caramel and spread evenly. Evenly cover caramel with remaining half of fudge.

Solidify fudge in the fridge for 3–4 hours or overnight before cutting into squares. Take small pieces and enjoy!
